Beautiful, heavier-weight organic jersey from the 'Sakura' line by Albstoffe. This fabric is made of 95% organic cotton and 5% elastane and is wonderfully soft. At 220 grams, it's a nice, sturdy jersey that still drapes beautifully. Perfect for all sorts of applications such as a pretty shirt, tunic, dress or a light vest.

Albstoffe is part of the company Maute + Renz Textil GmbH. The company was founded in 1982 in the 'Schwäbische Alb', also known as the Swabian Jura. To this day, the family business produces its products in and around the municipality of Albstadt, hence the name Albstoffe.

As one of the first producers, the company received the GOTS certificate. Since 2015, Albstoffe has also been producing fabrics for retail. The designer Susanne Firmenich, who lives in Hamburg, designs cheerful fabrics for Albstoffe under the name 'Hamburger Liebe'. On her blog, she shares patterns, sewing instructions and stories about life in Hamburg free of charge.
